Minister Spoorendonk visits SEMPRE

On August 19th 2016 the Diakonisches Werk Schleswig-Holstein welcomed Anke Spoorendonk, Minister for Justice, Culture and Europe of Schleswig-Holstein, in Rendsburg. Minister Spoorendonk was introduced to SEMPRE and discussed the project with representatives of the three partners from Schleswig-Holstein.

The SEMPRE partners had the opportunity to explain the project objectives and the steps undertaken so far in the three different LENs. The Minister underlined the relevance of SEMPRE's empowerment approach and the transnational project work as a contribution to a shared European reality.

SEMPRE in Liepa, Latvia – coming together and finding new ways for social improvement through empowerment

When the SEMPRE project team of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences was asked to join the opening of the NGO “Save the children” in Liepa, Latvia, a small rural community, they were surprised to meet so many children and families enjoying the day. It was the starting point for regular meetings with mothers, youth being outside the labour market, education and training.
